Review "Danger Close" (Scott Wolfe Series Book 3), by SL Shelton

I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is the third installment of the Scott Wolfe Series and I have read the two previous books.  Danger Close explores Scott’s strange past, his unique abilities to process information at an accelerated rate, and his growing interest in working as a tech op in the field with the CIA.  Scott must decide his future as the story unfolds, though he already knows what he wants.  His goal is to become a fully trained CIA agent, but he needs to convince other CIA members that he is ready for the opportunity.

This book had me from page one!  We finally find out about the truth about Scott’s father’s death and the government agency that he once worked for.  Secrets come to light, unraveling a number of mysteries about Scott’s past, while creating new questions about is really going on.  If that wasn’t enough to make Scott Wolfe fans excited, we get to see Scott defend his assistant from an attacker, fend off hired mercenaries who are trying to abduct him, and try to survive a mission in the Middle East with Delta Force on a CIA op.

I couldn’t love this book more if I tried, and I rarely say that in my reviews.  This installment has action, a return of fan favorite Kathryn, aka Gretal, and answers about why Scott is the way he is.  What more could I ask for?

SL Shelton has created a likable character that the reader wants to root for and puts him in a world full of secrets, danger, and impossible situations.  The more I read about Scott Wolfe, the more I want to know about him and see how he will progress in the future books.  It goes without saying that I give Danger Close 5 stars and need to download Wolfe Trap as soon as I can.

 An Amazing Thrill Ride!
